TBE 缓冲液是生物学中常使用的核酸电泳缓冲盐溶液，主要用于DNA的琼脂糖凝胶电泳。TBE的主要成分是Tris-硼酸盐与EDTA，缓冲能力强，适合较长时间电泳，分辨率较高，电泳小于1kb的片段时分离效果好。TBE 缓冲液中的硼酸成分会影响DNA回收效率以及后续的酶反应，若要进行DNA片段的琼脂糖凝胶电泳回收实验，建议使用TAE 缓冲液。
